Fire has always fascinated humans… and in India it is worshipped in many ways. On Lohri , which is mainly celebrated in Punjab, offerings are made to the bonfire and this day marks the end of the winter and ushers in longer and warmer days… The above photos are of the bonfire we had outside our house in Delhi.
Sitting in Singapore, contemplating the distant horizon, our little baby was a two month fetus… and even then you had that glow of motherhood on your face…. today your Son and I wish you a Happy Mothers Day…. for putting up with us 😄

Given that this month is part of the monsoon months, it is not often that one has clear skies to capture the moon; this year I was lucky enough to have very clear skies and a bright moon to capture….
An insanely crazy rainy day was coming to an end…. whipping winds and thundering clouds slowly part way to a glorious rain washed sky that looks insanely blue and fresh….
In the space of a mere 20 minutes, the sky went from thundering blacks to a beautiful blue with powder puff clouds….
